PROCESS DESCRIPTION A - REACTION
The principal reaction occurring in Phosphoric Acid production is the reaction between tricalcium phosphate in Phosphate Rock and sulphuric acid which produces soluble Phosphoric Acid and insoluble Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate (gypsum)
The Phosphate Rock also contains some other components such as Silicium, Iron, Aluminium, Sodium and Fluorine which are converted to their salts in the side reactions and are finally separated from
■Easy access to Sulfuric Acid produced by RPC as the raw material for the plant.
■Unloading Phosphate Rock facilities at the existing Razi jetty and availability of Phosphate Rock storage at RPC.
■ Easy access to export facilities such as RPC jetty for Phosphoric Acid export or Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PET Zone) export jetty.
■Availability of utilities such as electricity, water and steam at RPC.
■ Ready Infrastructure (roads, railway etc.)
■ Available human resources.
